Discover Marseille Candle by Astier de Villatte.
A journey through a city of contrasts. From the old harbour, winding through lively neighbourhoods with narrow, steep streets, the path ascends to the citys heights and fragrant trails overlooking the Calanques. Here, tranquillity takes over; the senses are captivated by the delightful aroma of sun-soaked plants: rosemary, lavender, lemon, and clover.
This fragrance, created in collaboration with Nathalie Feisthauer, features essences of rosemary, lavender, virginia cedar, clover, lemon, tonka bean, and fig.
The candles wax formulation is plant-based, enriched with a touch of beeswax for a unique composition. Free from paraffin and petrochemical derivatives, it produces no soot. Its supple and tender texture ensures the wax blends seamlessly with the perfume, releasing its scent both hot and cold. The pure cotton wick allows for clean and consistent combustion, offering 60 to 70 hours of burn time, depending on the fragrance.
The tumbler, crafted from blown glass in Tuscany, has a transparent, slightly grey hue with delicate bubbles, giving it a timeless and distinctive character. Labels and packaging are lead-printed on vintage presses by SAIG, one of the last remaining typographic workshops in the world.
