Discover Tucson Candle by Astier de Villatte.
Set amidst the arid beauty of the Arizona desert, surrounded by towering cacti with mesmerising forms, lies Tucson. Downtown streets are adorned with colourful houses, evoking a sense of vibrant charm. Under the sweltering heat, a break in the shade of a mesquite tree, accompanied by a glass of mezcal, offers respite. The intoxicating scents of the Far West fill the air: faintly smoky and sweet aromas of wild grasses, parched wood, immortelle flowers, and red earth scorched by the sun.
This fragrance, crafted in collaboration with Alexandra Monet, features essences of rosemary, immortelle, rose, atlas cedar, lignum vitae, vetiver, birch, labdanum, oregano, thyme, laurel, black pepper, and patchouli.
The candles wax formulation is plant-based, with a touch of beeswax, ensuring purity. Free from paraffin and petrochemical derivatives, it produces no soot. The carefully crafted wax has a soft, supple texture and blends seamlessly with the perfume, releasing its scent both hot and cold. The pure cotton wick ensures clean combustion, providing 60 to 70 hours of burn time, depending on the fragrance.
The tumbler, made from handcrafted blown glass in Tuscany, has a transparent, slightly grey hue with delicate bubbles, creating a unique and timeless look. Labels and packaging are printed using lead type on vintage presses by SAIG, one of the last remaining typographic workshops in the world.
